Because we’re small - and we’re going to stay small
We aim to be your dog’s home from home. As a family-run business we know that dogs are not merely animals but important members of their owner’s family, and that’s how we treat them! The dogs at Boggs are well socialised, well exercised and stimulated. With our high staff to dog ratio they won’t ever get lost in the crowd.
We do proper walks
We don’t fence in our dogs all day, we take them out, two walks a day, and the dogs love it!
We pride ourselves on offering open-air, natural daycare, where your dog can make full use of his or her senses by smelling the soil, trees and bushes, hearing birdsong, having the sunshine on their backs and charging about in Scotland’s wonderful wind and rain!
They’re dogs, not babies!
Our philosophy is to let dogs be dogs. Plenty of outdoor action, fun and play. No fur-babies here!
Complimentary photo & video updates
When you can't be home with your dog yourself, what's better than a photo to brighten your day?
We understand how important it is for you to know that your beloved pooch is happy, relaxed & having fun whilst in our care. We offer complimentary weekly photo/video updates on our Facebook page (by request). Please contact us if you would like an update during your dog’s stay
The best staff
Our staff are fully qualified, and get regular training updates from our visiting dog behaviourist Max Muir . But most of all they’re dog lovers to their fingertips.
The best customers, too
We’re selective, it’s true. We only take on new doggie guests who will fit in with our happy, lively pack of returning customers. That’s why they keep on coming back.
Brilliant indoor facilities.
When the weather isn't quite so friendly, they can come inside to our dedicated barn conversion where there’s plenty of room to play with toys, or simply take a nap on one of our comfortable waterproof beds or sofas. We have three sectioned chillout zones where we are able to match up compatible dogs at rest and quiet time.
We also have an all-weather run opening up onto…
Brilliant outdoor facilities
Our fenced, grassy paddock has toys, games and is equipped with hay bales, sand pits, earthed play tunnels and a swimming pool that keeps things fun and exciting.
Beyond that, there is open woodland and our eleven acre farm to explore. It’s canine country living at its best.
Socialisation is an important aspect of your dog’s development and we structure each social outing to ensure that the dogs in the group are well matched. Wherever possible activities are tailored to match each dog’s individual needs and energy levels.
Home boarding, not kennels -
(Daycare dogs only)
Our boarderscome to live with us in our lovely, cosy home complete with a dedicated room all to themselves. Dogs seem to prefer this arrangement to kennels. Can’t think why!
During the day, our home boarding dogs join the day scholars for all the usual fun and games. Your dog will be so busy down on the farm, they will hardly miss you!
